One of the greatest parts of my job is that I get a front row seat to some of the best rock concerts in town.
Not the head-banging metal that you might suspect, rather our local rock-stars (in their industry) as subjects to publication shoots.
As part of my storytelling process, I gather as many insights about my subjects as possible, so that I can literally shine the best light on them.
Today I pulled my eighth contribution out of the mailbox, and got this little pang of gratitude. Not an ego pang - boasting my cover projects. This was a REAL pang of GRATITUDE, knowing that I get to meet some of the most inspiring people in our area (and often beyond).
As some of you may know, I had a life-altering experience while on a service-related shoot in Kenya. Knowing how that impacted my life, widened my perspective, and making me even more grateful than before... These people don't just expose their kids to that opportunity, they take their staff to serve as well. What a gift to all parties involved!
Kudos to the Freeman family, their Freeman Motor Company staff, and the BVM model of adding a face to the rock stars in our neighborhood. It makes me love my job even more, perpetuating my life as a Gratitudaholic.
