File Purchase Download Instructions

This is a screenshot of what you should see after clicking your image download link to our sync.com delivery system.

Once you have downloaded your .zip files

1) Double-click the .zip file to extract the folder (by the same name). It contains your images, and an image license, authorizing you to use them.

All modern computers, Mac or Windows, will do this automatically. If you have trouble on a PC, click below.

http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/cf_extract.mspx?mfr=true

2) Open and read the enclosed File Agreement (pdf) to read before you do anything with the files. ESPECIALLY page 2, that has HELPFUL FILE MANAGEMENT INFO.

The terms of this Agreement are not transferable. If someone you know is interested in obtaining a legal copy, we appreciate your sharing our contact info with them.

3) MAKE A COPY FOR SAFE KEEPING - ARCHIVE, ARCHIVE, ARCHIVE...

We know it's tempting to just grab what you need and go - but a solid back-up system for your files is PRICELESS!

The two most common, troubleshooting calls that we receive, are avoided by reading those instructions about having a BACKUP COPY.

#1 - "My computer crashed and I forgot to back up..." or "can't remember where we put them". (We won't shame you, and appreciate our honest clients, but we don't have an on-call tech support)

#2 - "I cropped the image, and lost the full size image." For this, there are two ways to prevent.

     A: Keep a BACKUP COPY.

B: Choose "Save As..." or "Save Copy". This causes you to duplicate your new version to another location, or same location with a new name. When you close the original, you "SHOULD" be asked if you want to save your changes - yes/no. The answer - NO - this way, you now have your newly saved VERSION, and leave the original in tact by not saving it's modified/cropped condition.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A SYSTEM FOR ORGANIZING YOUR IMAGE FILES - DOWNLOAD OUR FREE FOLDER STRUCTURE TEMPLATE

(Windows users - if you see duplicate files, delete the ones that have a "._ " (dot + underscore) Those are just thumbnail files that PC's don't embed like Macs.)

4) COPYRIGHT INFO & SHARING:
Your license is for your personal use, though it is expected that a social media copy may be used on personal sites as well.
For that reason, I created an extra web size copy. If used personally, I only ask that you give credit where possible: ©Prints Charming Photography - Brian Geraths

If using on Facebook, we'd love it if you would give us credit:
1 - LIKE and/or FOLLOW OUR PAGES:

https://www.facebook.com/PhotoMediaProductions/

https://www.facebook.com/OregonPhotographer

and Brian's writing/teaching page:

https://www.facebook.com/Geraths

5) TAG US:

If you tag "Brian Geraths" that's nice, but it is more helpful when you TAG OUR STUDIO.  This is done simply by clicking that little upside-down, teardrop-shaped map point icon - LOCATION.

Add our location (Photo Media Productions) to the images. This way we can keep delivering images without our logo all over them, because people will know where you went... : ^)

I hope that you are pleased, and PLEASE feel free to contact us if you need any special sizing, cropping or any other form of support in getting the most from your images. More than an award-winning photographer, Brian is also quite computer savvy, capable of simplifying your understanding of how to manage your files.
